This message was included in the 1962 Annual Report for the Notre Dame Kerrville Conference.  It is just as true today as it was back then.

"The St. Vincent de Paul Society of the Parish wish to extend their deepest and sincerest appreciation to all who have so generously given a part of their goods in order to help others who were in need.  Not only were you instrumental in alleviating the needs of others financially, but many of you gave your personal time unselfishly to bring a little more happiness into the life of God’s poor ones.  To all then, we beg God’s blessings, and may you always be showered with His choicest gifts."

The Society of St. Vincent de Paul of Southwest Texas - Notre Dame Kerrville Conference is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) charitable organization.

Donors may deduct contributions as provided in §170 of the Internal Revenue Code.

We greatly appreciate the continuing financial support of the parishoners of Notre Dame Catholic Church, the members of the St. Vincent de Paul Society, local organizations and the general public.  

Collections are conducted for the benefit of our conference at Notre Dame Catholic Church during Masses, typically on the third weekend of every month and on Holy Thursday.

Please make checks payable to St. Vincent de Paul.

Our thrift store can accept and process a wide variety of gently used items such as furniture, housewares, clothing, tools, toys, etc. However, please do not ask us to take items that cannot be sold "as-is" or after minor cleaning or repair.

Please bring donations to our Thrift Store on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday 11a.m.-1p.m. at the warehouse roll-up door in the back of the parking lot.

We will be unable to accept some items due to safety concerns or because people will not be interested in buying them.  Examples of these items include:

• Items subject to consumer product recall
• Soiled, stained or broken items in need sod significant cleaning or repair
• Chemicals, paints and hazardous materials
• Firearms and weapons
• Ammunition
• Sleeper sofas
• Mattresses
• Hospital beds
• Upright pianos
• Box televisions
• Picture frames without glass
• Fluorescent bulbs
• Propane tanks and fire extinguishers
• Used or burnt candles
• Infant furniture
• Used building materials of plumbing fixtures
• Mirrors without frames
• Parts for window blinds
• Plastic cups and plastic dinnerware
• Uniforms (e.g., Police, Fire, First Responders, etc.)

PLEASE DO NOT DROP OFF DONATIONS WHEN WE ARE CLOSED.  We know your intentions are good, but we have to pay to dispose of donations that we cannot process or sell and this is an avoidable expense that reduces the amount of assistance we can provide to you and/or your neighbors.

Our ability to pick up your donations depends on several factors such as the availability of volunteers; the type, size, quantity and location of your items; and fuel prices.  At this time, our ability is severely limited.  You are welcome to request a pick-up by filling out the form below.  However, we may not be able to respond immediately.  We will get back in touch with you to arrange a pick-up when we are able.
